Making April - Runaway World (2006)
Making April is an American rock band from Verplanck, NY. Sean Scanlon and Steve McCaffrey formed the group in their dorm room at SUNY Albany and began writing together in early 2005. After collaborating with longtime friend Greg Federspiel (bass) the band recorded 5 demo songs, that would later become the backbone of their 8 song debut EP "Runaway World." When the initial pressing of the EP sold out it was re-released with two bonus tracks. The band has gained acclaim as a featured artist on MTV's Laguna Beach and as one of the Top 10 Unsigned Artists on MySpace.com. They have now sold over 100,000 tracks on iTunes worldwide. Their debut single, “These are the Nights,” was released on iTunes and is currently gaining airplay on the radio. They are currently on tour with acoustic rock artist, Secondhand Serenade. Under Renovation: POPtastic! is changing into a [pop] music blog; the main source for everything pop music. We will no longer offer just music, but also will include a lot of other materials. We will also include news, reviews, albums information, and will be used as a media to introduce new artists and also independent artists. We will be working alongside with various music companies/labels to bring you the latest music information. These posts will go under [PROMO], and are all official presses. More information to come.

Who's Peter Dee? He is a neurotic fan of this new so-called boyband V-Factory. His Myspace is located at http://www.myspace.com/peterdimitrakopoulos and his I.P is 24.151.86.178. One of the contributors posted two of their songs, and this (weird) boyband obsessive guy stumbled upon it. I don't know who V-Factory are nor do I care [the post has since been deleted]. Apparently, this Peter adores this new band, so he has continued his hateful tirade on the tag-board.

If this blog does go down, then it has been a great two years smile If not, then we will continue blogging at this location. Wow! All this trouble for a boyband who has yet found fame. wink If it was Mariah or Madonna, then that's pretty understandable. This... I cannot comprehend.

    Welcome to POPtastic! It's a music blog dedicated to 100% pop. The blog was created back in 2006 and was used as a creative outlet to introduce pop artists that was either forgotten or was never well known. However, the blog has since grown substantially and this was due to the work of all of the contributors (past & present) and the support from visitors. Despite the emerging numbers of new pop blogs, POPtastic! will continue to be the main source for pop music, news, reviews, and albums information.

    Materials that you will find at POPtastic! will mainly be pop music or pop-oriented songs. Nonetheless, at times, the other contributors and I do post other genres of music (rap, r&b, rock and etc). Here you will find a wide selection of old pop albums, new albums, new singles, special features, rare pop tracks, old hits, and misses (flops).

    POPtastic! will continue to post the latest music, but unfortunately will no longer be posting requests. As you probably have noticed, the number of requests being posted have been diminishing for the past months. This is due to my busy schedule. I also realized that no other contributors are really posting requests either. As a result of this,I have decided to remove the requests board until further notice. Thanks for your understanding.
