X-Factor: Help For Heroes
The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and Forces charity Help for Heroes will join forces as The X Factor finalists release a single this weekend to raise cash for both charities.

Proceeds from the track – a cover of Mariah Carey’s 1993 hit Hero – will be divided equally between Help for Heroes and the Poppy Appeal.

The 12 finalists jumped at the chance to be part of the project and they will be delighted to perform the song live for the first time on The X Factor on Saturday’s programme.

The download will be live from midnight and It will then hit the shops on October 27th, just two weeks before Remembrance Sunday.

This song is only posted due to the fact that it isn't available outside the UK.

Hero, by the X Factor finalists, was 'performed' tonight. Well, except for two of the over-25 singers, Daniel and Ruth, who got stuck in a door. I kid you not, Simon confirmed it!

The result: It was horribly mimed, nobody knew what they were doing, and people had to cover for the absentees. Hilariously bad, but a sad state of affairs because it'll probably still get to number one despite it being terrible! It's no reflection on the charity in any way, might I clarify, but check out the video...

Here's Austin Drage as you've never seen him before - in a video as the FEMALE lead singer of a band called The Honeytraps.

Austin was transformed into a woman as part of the gender-bending 2006 E4 reality show Boys Will Be Girls which saw three male singers being transformed into a girl band.

At the end of the series, the band recorded a cover version of A Flock Of Seagulls track Wishing (If I Had A Photograph Of You) which went to Number 23 on the UK Download Chart in May that year.

So far, they have released 4 studio albums and a remix album. But it was only recently with the release of their third album 'From Paris to Berlin' that they received international success.

Silent Earth ft. Leona Lewis - Times Have Changed
There's been a ferociously catchy song out there that has been attracting media attention for some time – "Times have Changed" the original mix is a great song. The good news is that a stella version with worldwide superstar Leona Lewis is being released in September.

Songwriter producer team Dan Karrouze and Rupert Garvey wrote the song with an RnB diva voice in mind before auditioning Leona amongst 500 other hopefuls in London in 2006. Leona came out tops and came down to Silent Earth‟s Sussex studios shortly after to lay down the track. Three months later she was conquering the nation on X Factor and Simon Cowell was telling everyone that Leona was one of the world‟s best vocalists.

“We knew that already”, says songwriter Dan, “she had obvious talent and made our song her own. Since the original sessions we have been busy working on other projects but now we‟re all available and the track has been unlocked from the vaults. The song and the production are so good that we want it out and getting the recognition it deserves.”
